Connection via Thunderbolt 3 port
Sonnet DuoModo Echo I Module is an external expansion system with one professional PCIe card (video capture; DSP audio; SAS or SATA 6Gb or 12Gb host bus adapter; 10Gb, 25Gb or 40Gb Ethernet; or RAID controller; etc.) connecting it to the computer using a single Thunderbolt cable.
The Sonnet DuoModo Echo I Module is large enough to support almost any Thunderbolt-compatible card available.
With a single x8 slot, the Sonnet Echo I Module supports PCIe 3.0, PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 1.1 cards with a full length and full height of up to 30.8 cm. The system does not support GPU cards.
Some specialty cards, such as HDSPe MADI FX RME, DeckLink 4K Extreme by Blackmagic Design, and Lynx AES16e 50, include a daughter card that works with the main card and provides additional external connections. Such cartridges are also compatible with DuoModo Echo I Module
Additionally, the Sonnet DuoModo Echo I Module includes an auxiliary PCIe power connector, allowing you to install a card that requires additional power, such as the AJA® Kona® 5 or Blackmagic DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G, and Epoch and KRONOS SDI Bluefish444 cards.
1. One PCIe x8 port
2. 6-Pin power port
The fastest external Thunderbolt interface available
The Sonnet DuoModo Echo I Module features a Thunderbolt 40Gb/s interface, which offers twice the PCIe bandwidth of Thunderbolt 2 connectivity and also delivers up to 2900MB/s of bandwidth, enabling support for 4K video capture and processing cards at high frame rates . It supports 16Gb FC card and dual 10GbE ports at full performance.
