The purpose of the OWC ThunderBay 4 Mini is to maximize the potential of SSD drives: four 2.5-inch drive bays.
Thanks to this solution, we can achieve professional-class speeds: up to 1556 MB/s.
The device has 2 Thunderbolt ports (compatible with Thunderbolt 4, 3, 2 and Thunderbolt 1, so you can daisy-chain up to five additional Thunderbolt devices.

Need to access another drive or increase storage capacity? Simply open the security lock on the front panel to access the four individual bays.
Drives are mounted on a tray that slides back in and automatically connects to the drive connector, so you can be back to work in minutes.

With four drive bays, you can mix or match 2.5-inch SSDs and HDDs of various brands and capacities.
Use mixed drives independently or combine drives as RAID using the included SoftRAID configuration and management software.
