The OWC Express 4M2 Ultra is the fastest, compact, external NVMe RAID enclosure connected via an 80 Gb/s Thunderbolt 5 port. The enclosure achieves speeds of up to 6,622 MB/s¹ in RAID-0, making it the ideal solution for handling raw 12K video footage, multi-camera 8K sequences, batch processing of high-resolution images, and large datasets.

The enclosure allows for easy installation of up to four NVMe M.2 2280 or 2242 SSDs, single- or double-sided, PCIe 3.0/4.0/5.0, depending on the user’s budget and performance needs. With support for RAID 0/1/4/5/10/JBOD via SoftRAID (not included) or another RAID tool, the user decides which RAID level best suits their work environment needs.

The enclosure’s design allows for easy replacement with faster, larger drives whenever needed or when they become available, without having to purchase a new enclosure. At the same time, the OWC Express 4M2 Ultra leverages the incredible speed of Thunderbolt 5 at 80Gb/s to cut import times in half compared to Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 ports.

The OWC Express 4M2 Ultra allows you to scale enclosures up to 128TB by daisy-chaining additional Express 4M2 Ultra devices or connecting up to five additional Thunderbolt devices and one USB peripheral via the second Thunderbolt 5 port.
