DETACHABLE CABLE
CalDigit deliberately added a detachable cable to the USB-C SOHO Dock as it gives customers more flexibility. By utilizing a detachable cable users are able to add longer cables, and if cables are damaged, they can be easily replaced. Docks or hubs with tethered cables cannot replace their cables and tend to generate more heat.

Whether you are using a USB-C, Thunderbolt 3, or Thunderbolt 4 laptop, the USB-C SOHO Dock will work on all of them.
