SFP 10Gbase-TX copper insert
The SFP 10G module with an RJ45 connector is designed for data transmission using a copper medium. It transmits data at a speed of up to 10 Gbps , over a distance of up to 30 m over UTP cat. 5 copper twisted pair. It has an RJ45 (Registered Jack type 45) connector.
The RJ45 module is used in a situation where we want to use the optical port not for optical transmission, but via UTP copper cabling. Like optical transceivers, it is suitable for hot-plug installation . The physical size of the cooper module is exactly the same as the SFP LR optical module.
