Computers and tablets with only Thunderbolt or USB-C ports are an increasingly popular solution on the market. In this case, a docking station is needed to connect devices in a different standard.
CalDigit has developed the universal CalDigit USB-C HDMI DOCK docking station to which we can connect any device with a USB-C or Thunderbolt port. When connected to a laptop via the Thunderbolt port, the docking station provides full Thunderbolt port performance, i.e. 40 Gb/s, and when connected to a laptop with a USB-C connector, it provides performance up to 10 Gb/s.
CalDigit USB-C HDMI Dock is a universal docking station that adapts to any device with a USB-C (Type-C) port to which it is connected. When connected to a laptop, Thunderbolt offers full 40Gbps performance, and when connected to a USB-C laptop, it delivers 10Gbps performance to deliver exactly what your laptop has to offer.
DUAL HDMI AND BUILT-IN CONNECTIVITY
The USB-C HDMI Dock has two built-in HDMI 2.0b ports for directly connecting two 4K 60Hz monitors in an "extended" or "mirror" configuration to a Thunderbolt laptop without the need for any USB-C video adapters. Apple laptops with M1 processors can be connected to a single external monitor, allowing you to expand the laptop's built-in display to a single external "extended" monitor.
USB-C users can connect up to one 4K 30Hz monitor or up to two 2K 30Hz monitors depending on their computer's configuration, bandwidth and DisplayPort version.
The CalDigit USB-C HDMI station allows you to connect a wired Ethernet network. It has a built-in Gigabit Ethernet port.
