CalDigit TS5Plus+ just works

CalDigit TS5 Plus+ is a powerful device that requires a Mac or PC with a Thunderbolt or USB4 connection to fully utilize its capabilities. This next-generation docking station is compatible with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4 v2, or USB4 host devices.

140W Power Delivery

The TS5 Plus provides up to 140W of power delivery for even the most demanding laptops. This makes it ideal for laptops such as the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3/M4 Pro or Max processors, which require 140W of power.

While many other Thunderbolt 5 docking stations claim to be able to charge at a certain power level, in reality, they have insufficient power. These stations allocate host power based on the number of devices connected to them. Some of the host power will be transferred to newly connected devices, resulting in reduced power output.

You can be sure that the CalDigit TS5 Plus power supply will always provide the full 140W and will never reduce this performance, even if new devices are connected to the TS5 Plus.

For laptops or tablets that require less than 140W, the TS5 Plus will only supply the power required by your device.

10 high-performance USB ports

With 10 USB ports on the TS5 Plus, combining USB-A and USB-C ports, you have plenty of options for connecting USB accessories.

All USB ports on the TS5 Plus offer 10Gb/s performance and 7.5W power (except for the front USB-C port, which offers 36W).

*USB-C and USB-A ports are for data transfer only. Monitors must be connected to available Thunderbolt 5/USB4 v2 ports.

Dual USB controllers

The TS5 Plus is a unique device, as it is the only docking station with dual USB controllers*.

Traditional Thunderbolt docking stations are equipped with a single USB controller that is shared by all USB and Thunderbolt ports on the docking station. The TS5 Plus's dual controllers allow the dock to provide two separate 10Gb/s controllers, increasing the bandwidth of connected devices. This is ideal for anyone who connects multiple high-bandwidth USB devices to their dock.

36W power for accessories

The TS5 Plus is a unique device that offers a convenient yet powerful front USB-C port with a built-in 36W USB-C port, ideal for even the most power-hungry USB-C devices.

Not only does the front USB-C port have 36W of power, but so do the two spare Thunderbolt 5 ports. Previous generations of Thunderbolt ports had 15W downstream ports. The TS5 Plus has more than twice the power to provide even more energy for your devices.

36W is more than enough power even for the iPad Pro, which charges at 20W.

Thunderbolt 5

The TS5 Plus features bidirectional Thunderbolt 5 ports with 80 Gb/s bandwidth, which is twice the performance of Thunderbolt 4.

The PCIe performance of Thunderbolt ports has been doubled from the previous generation to 64 Gbps PCIe 4.0. This is ideal if you plan to connect high-performance SSDs or RAID devices to the TS5 Plus. This powerful dock supports transfer speeds of up to 6200 MB/s.

Thanks to feedback from our customers, CalDigit continues to pioneer and develop this design choice, which has become synonymous with the Thunderbolt Station line of docking solutions.

While other devices may look similar to the TS5 Plus, at CalDigit we have only one original concept: listening to our customers.

Bandwidth Boost

When connecting monitors that require high bandwidth to the TS5 Plus, the bandwidth boost feature will be enabled to prioritize displays and provide up to 120 Gbps of performance. This will preserve 40 Gbps for the rest of the docking station.

The advantage of this solution is the ability to connect displays with higher refresh rates to the TS5 Plus, as well as three 4K 144 Hz displays.

10 Gigabit Ethernet

At the time, the CalDigit TS4 was the first Thunderbolt 4 docking station equipped with a 2.5 GbE port, and with the TS5 Plus, we achieve a fourfold improvement in performance by adding a 10 GbE port*.

10 Gigabit Ethernet offers 10 times the performance of traditional 1GbE, which is found in many docking stations, with data transfer speeds of up to 10 billion bits per second.

Traditionally, to use 10GbE on a laptop, you had to purchase an external Thunderbolt to 10GbE adapter. Now this feature is built-in, saving you time and valuable desk space. Of course, the 10GbE port on the TS5 Plus can be used with 5GbE, 2.5GbE, and 1GbE devices.

Tablets

Connect the TS5 Plus to an iPad with a Thunderbolt interface or a Windows tablet with a Thunderbolt interface to take your work to the next level.

SD and microSD 4.0 UHS-II

The TS5 Plus has microSD and SD card readers on the front of the device for easy access. Both ports support UHS-II and can be used simultaneously.

Offline charging

The front USB-A port, all USB-C ports, and two rear USB-A ports on the TS5 Plus enable offline charging.

This feature allows you to charge USB devices such as phones and tablets even when the TS5 Plus is not connected to a host device.
