EDID Emulation – What Is It and Why Should You Choose AV...

When working with multiple computers using a KVM switch, one of the most common issues is the need to re-detect the monitor after switching the signal source. This can result in changes to the resolution, icons shifting on the desktop, application windows moving to different locations, and sometimes even a temporary loss of the image. The solution to this problem is EDID Emulation technology, available in professional AV Access iDock KVM switches offered by Abart Pro.

ATTO FastFrame™ AIR – professional 10/25/50/100GbE network cards for the most demanding workstations

ATTO FastFrame™ AIR – Professional 10/25/50/100GbE Network Cards for the Most Demanding Workstations

ATTO Technology is expanding its product portfolio with the new FastFrame™ AIR series of network cards, designed specifically for modern workstations that demand the highest performance, minimal latency, and reliable network communication. The new 10GbE, 25GbE, 50GbE, and 100GbE Ethernet adapters combine exceptional performance with an innovative active cooling system, making them ideal for applications where standard network cards cannot deliver the required performance.

FastFrame AIR was designed for professional applications including 4K and 8K film production, video post-production, data archiving systems, AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning environments, medical imaging, CAD/CAM workstations, and anywhere where vast amounts of unstructured data are processed. With support for bandwidth up to 100 Gb/s and latency as low as 1 microsecond, users can count on instant access to data and maximum performance for business and creative applications.

The biggest innovation in the AIR series is an advanced active cooling system that uses a specially designed fan and airflow channels. This solution maintains optimal operating temperatures even in environments with limited airflow, such as Apple Mac Pro and Mac Studio workstations, professional video editing computers, and high-performance AI workstations. Unlike many cards designed for server rooms, FastFrame AIR provides its own airflow and does not require the infrastructure typical of data centers.

The new ATTO cards support RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) technologies, which significantly reduce CPU load and enable direct data transfer between device memories. This translates to exceptionally low latency and maximum utilization of available network bandwidth. As a result, FastFrame AIR works perfectly with NVMe over Fabrics solutions, modern storage systems, and environments requiring the highest data transfer performance.

The cards are available in two versions: the FastFrame AIR N422, offering two SFP28 ports and up to 25GbE bandwidth, and the FastFrame AIR N412, equipped with two QSFP28 ports supporting 50GbE and 100GbE networks. The devices are compatible with Windows, Linux, and select macOS models, making them an excellent choice for both professional Apple users and advanced enterprise environments.

Configuration and monitoring of the adapters are facilitated by the ATTO360™ Networking suite, along with the ATTOview™ and ExpertAI™ tools, which provide advanced diagnostics, performance analysis, and optimization of network operating parameters. This allows administrators and users to quickly identify potential bottlenecks and maximize the capabilities of their Ethernet infrastructure.

ATTO FastFrame™ AIR is the ideal solution for professionals seeking the highest performance, reliability, and full utilization of the potential of modern 10/25/50/100GbE Ethernet networks. This is yet another example of ATTO technology, which has been delivering networking and storage solutions for nearly 40 years to the most demanding business, creative, and scientific environments.
