ATTO XstreamCORE® are intelligent, high-performance devices – bridges – for accelerated protocol conversion. They provide the benefits of shared SAS storage at the speeds of directly attached drives. XstreamCORE provides remote SAS storage access, enabling storage owners to disaggregate storage from server hardware using JBOD, JBOF, RAID, or tape storage. Use cases include mapping one or more individual drives to space-constrained rack or blade servers, remapping attached drives from failed servers to replacement servers, adding shared capabilities to direct attached storage, and remotely locating directly attached drives or tape devices.
XstreamCORE ET 8200 achieves up to 1.1 million 4K IOPS and 6 GB/s throughput per bridge with just 2 microseconds of additional latency. XstreamCORE supports Extended Copy (LID1) data movement commands and offloads up to 5.2 GB/s of data from the CPU, memory, network, and storage structures, leaving more resources for virtual machines and applications running on the host. Build solutions with up to 960 SAS SSD/HDD devices across a pair of bridges and better manage, monitor and utilize that storage with current and future features built into XstreamCORE.
Optimized for high performance with multiple hardware acceleration engines, XstreamCORE delivers industry-leading performance for up to 64 servers with an additional latency of less than 4 microseconds. XstreamCORE provides a common set of services and features and is designed with an open design that does not change the data path. ATTO intelligent bridges provide the flexibility of general storage solutions without locking users into proprietary hardware implementations. The XstreamCORE Intelligent Bridge is a modular building block with technology that enables SysAdmin administrators to reduce resource load while separating storage from server resources.
