ARECA ARC-1886-xNxI controllers present advanced hardware RAID technology with increased performance thanks to the use of 6 or 4 M.2 NVMe bays and improved protection of corporate data thanks to the use of two SAS/SATA ports.
The hardware RAID adapter accesses the data of the NVMe disk array with a given load value. While the load level remains within the set value, the RAID adapter continuously backs up the NVMe disk array data to the remaining two SAS/SATA hard disk arrays. The devices are equipped with a 1.6 GHz dual-core ROC processor, DDR4-2666 memory and PCIe Gen 4.0 host/device interface and support RAID levels 0, 1, 10, 3, 5, 6, single disk or JBOD.

Automatic backup between two arrays

NVMe disasters always happen unexpectedly, and without proper safeguards, data can be at risk. Implementing an automated backup and recovery strategy is critical to protecting NVMe arrays from data corruption and ensuring that data can be recovered. The ARC-1886-xNxI provides two disk arrays, including an NVMe disk array and an HDD array. The RAID firmware has a preset value, and when the workload size does not reach the preset value, it backs up the M2 NVMe disk array data to the SATA HDD array. This has the advantages of fast data access via NVMe and high reliability of data storage on the hard drive. These backups contain exact copies of the NVMe array. The cloned SAS/SATA array uses them for disaster recovery purposes.

Power Loss Protection (OMP)

Enterprise storage must ensure data integrity in the event of power loss and system failure. Power Loss Protection (PLP) is a hardware and firmware solution in the ARC-1886-xNxI RAID Adapter that ensures the integrity of NVMe SSDs is maintained in the event of a power loss.
