The Qualstar Q8 LTO-9 SAS is an entry-level LTO tape library with an LTO-9 SAS drive. Like all models in the Q series, the Qualstar Q8 LTO tape library is designed for reliability and user convenience, offering simple installation and easy maintenance. The 1U rackmount enclosure can be mounted in a 19" rack. The Q8 LTO-9 SAS model offers a capacity of 144 terabytes (native) or 360 terabytes (compressed). The built-in menu-driven control panel is intuitive and easy to use. The same functionality is also available through the integrated browser-based remote management interface (RMI), which allows IT administrators to remotely configure, manage, and diagnose the library from anywhere in the world. All replaceable components—such as the tape drive, power supply, and controller board—can be removed using standard tools.
