Atlantic Studios West supports music artists from emerging talent to multi-million dollar artists such as Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. For this reason, Atlantic must move "at the speed of creativity." Here are the tools to help them do this.

As is typical in the studio, the Atlantic Studios West staff is always on standby. At any moment, a rising star or a platinum artist with multi-million sales may call and need a recording ASAP.
After all, creativity waits for no one. That's why it's so important to Atlantic to 1) create an atmosphere in its studio that encourages creativity and expression, and 2) move at the speed of creativity itself.

So when they get the call, Atlantic gets to work with quick changes to recordings, edits and mixes. To do this, they need fast drives and as many Thunderbolt and USB ports as they can get.

And because these assets potentially represent the next song at the top of the charts, they are archived with the expectation that the discs they reside on will not fail.

That's why Atlantic Studios turns to OWC, a name synonymous with longevity and reliability.

Atlantic uses a 1TB Envoy Pro SSD during recording sessions to ensure ultra-fast read and write speeds. Once a session is registered, local disk backups are saved to an OWC ThunderBlade configured as RAID. When a session needs to be downloaded for an artist on a deadline, Thunderblade's lightning-fast search and indexing allows Atlantic to quickly deliver what artists need.

Atlantic also uses a 4TB Envoy Pro to house its sample libraries. Envoy's speed allows artists to call up any instrument or sample they need almost instantly.

And with all the drives, microphones, instruments and speakers that reside in the studio, Atlantic Studio obviously needs more ports than a standard laptop offers.
