Nowość! Stacja dokująca od Sonnet z dwoma zatokami na dyski NVMe

Sonnet has released the latest docking station enabling the installation of two PCIe NVMe M.2 2280 drives with a total capacity of up to 16TB.

Sonnet Echo Dual NVMe Thunderbolt Dock - that's what we're talking about - the station is additionally equipped with:

2x Thunderbolt port

2x USB 3.2 10 Gb/s Type C port

2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gb/s Type A port

The station is compatible with all Apple computers - Mac with M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max processors, Mac with Intel processors and Windows computers equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 port

Using one PCIe NVMe drive, we can achieve transfers of 1,500 MB/s. When using two bays and using software RAID, this speed can be doubled, i.e. up to 3,000 MB/s

An additional advantage is active cooling. The fan speed depends on the temperature inside the device. This enables comfortable work and, during intensive use of disks, reduces the risk of losing transfer due to overheating.

We can use one of the drives installed in the Sonnet Echo Dual NVMe Thunderbolt Dock as a macOS startup disk and the other for data backup, e.g. via Time Machine.

Of course, the drives can work as separate drives or in a software RAID system in a RAID-0 or RAID-1 configuration.
