SymplyDIT XTF LTO-10 is a professional, enterprise-class tape drive designed for secure archiving and long-term data storage. The device is designed for film studios, television stations, content producers, photographers, research institutions, laboratories, and businesses that require the highest level of data security and 24/7 reliability.
The drive is equipped with a full-height LTO-10 Enterprise mechanism, offering native capacity of up to 30 TB or 40 TB (depending on the LTO-10 media used) and a transfer rate of 400 MB/s, which reaches up to 900 MB/s when compressed. This solution enables fast backups of massive data sets while maintaining the highest level of reliability.
The SymplyPRO DIT XTF also offers two professional host interfaces—Thunderbolt 3 and 12Gb SAS (SFF-8644). Thanks to the two Thunderbolt 3 ports, devices can be daisy-chained, and compatible computers can be charged. Additionally, the device features two slots for 2.5" SSDs, enabling convenient work with working media. Installed SSDs or SAS drives connected to the expansion port are automatically made available via the Thunderbolt interface, which significantly streamlines the daily workflow during video production.
The drive supports LTFS (Linear Tape File System) technology, which allows tapes to be used much like traditional hard drives with drag-and-drop functionality. This simplifies data archiving without the need for complicated procedures and ensures compatibility with the open standard used by the leading manufacturers of backup and archiving software.
The SymplyPRO DIT XTF is designed for continuous operation in professional environments. A high-end cooling system, efficient fans, and an internal power supply that automatically supports voltages ranging from 110–240 Vensure stable operation even during archiving operations lasting many hours.
Data security is ensured by 256-bit AES hardware encryption and support for WORM (Write Once Read Many)media, which prevent modification of stored data and meet the compliance and long-term archiving requirements of many industries.
The device is delivered as a complete, ready-to-use kit. The package includes an LTO-10 data tape, a cleaning tape, a 2-meter active Thunderbolt 4 cable, a SymplyLOCK lock, a SymplyDIT 2.5" drive tray, a power cable, and the SymplyATOM software for macOS.
