The Pegasus5 R12 Pro provides up to 288 TB of storage on HDDs and up to 32 TB of high-speed storage on NVMe drives. The HDDs utilize the PromiseRAID hardware RAID engine. PromiseRAID is the core technology of the PROMISE Pegasus line, known for its storage performance and data security.

The very high capacity of the hard drive comes with an increased risk of failure. The Predictive Data Migration (PDM) feature, available exclusively in PromiseRAID systems, periodically analyzes storage media to predict potential drive issues and automatically takes corrective action before a drive failure occurs.
