With the growing demand from creative professionals for higher data transfer and higher bandwidth in shared computer networks, the 10GbE (10 Gigabit Ethernet) standard is becoming more and more popular. To speed up the operation of your computer in a network with 10 GbE infrastructure, you must properly adapt it by equipping it with an Abart Pro MOX 10GbE card. It's an incredibly simple and cost-effective solution for adding dual-port 10GbE connectivity to your Mac Pro® tower, Windows® PC, Linux® server or other computer. You can also expand your laptop or computer such as Mac mini, iMac, MacBook Pro with 10GbE network functionality by using the Abart Pro MOX 10GbE card in combination with an external PCIe enclosure connected via the Thunderbolt™ port.

Connecting the card via the Thunderbolt™ port

To connect the card via the Thunderbolt™ port, we recommend the HighPoint RocketStor 6661A housing. This is a high-quality enclosure that allows you to add any PCIe 3.0 x4, x8 or x16 card to your computer via a Thunderbolt™ connector.

The set we tested achieved full performance, i.e. 2x 10GbE, and worked seamlessly with computers running macOS - including Silicon series chipsets, i.e. M1 and M2, and on a computer with Windows and a Thunderbolt™ port.
